How to Request Data Deletion
QAi Trivia (developed by myAlert Ltd) provides multiple ways for you to request deletion of your personal data:
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the QAi Trivia mobile app
- Navigate to your Profile page
- Tap the "Delete Account" button (red button with trash icon)
- Confirm your decision in the warning dialog
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted
Note: This action is immediate and cannot be undone. You will be signed out and redirected to the sign-in screen.
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to support@qaitrivia.app
- Include the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Provide your registered email address or username
- Specify that you want to delete your account and all associated data
- We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following information will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Account Information: User profile, display name, username, email address, and authentication credentials
- Quiz Data: All quiz results, game history, and performance statistics
- Game Results: Records from all game types (adaptive games, topic games, document-based games)
- User Preferences: App settings, preferences, and customization data
- Profile Images: Uploaded profile pictures stored in our systems
- Local Cache: Cached data stored on your device
Important: Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, you will need to create a new account to use QAi Trivia again.
What Data May Be Retained
For legal, regulatory, and business continuity purposes, we may retain certain information:
- Payment Records: Transaction history and subscription records (required for financial compliance and dispute resolution)
- Legal Obligations: Data required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you personally (used for service improvement)
Retained data is kept only as long as legally required and is not used for any other purpose.
Data Retention Period
- Active Accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
- After Deletion Request: Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your request
- Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
- Anonymized Data: May be retained indefinitely in aggregated form (cannot identify you)
Third-Party Services
QAi Trivia uses third-party services that may store your data:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication and database services - data deleted upon account deletion
- Payment Processors: RevenueCat, carrier billing providers - transaction records retained per their policies
- Analytics: Aggregated usage data (anonymized)
We ensure that third-party services delete your personal data when you delete your account, subject to their legal retention requirements.
Your Rights
Under data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (as described above)
- Object to processing of your data
- Request data portability
